Clay masks are considered the oldest cosmetic preparations used in beauty treatments. The Egyptians and Greeks used clay applications to cleanse their skin.
 The minerals found in clays act as enhancers of certain effects, depending on their concentration. They are called trace elements and their remineralizing effect is noticeable even in small quantities (DÁRIO, 2008)
 White Clay: Has a whitening, healing and moisturizing effect. Helps absorb toxins from the skin and activates cell regeneration. Has properties that strengthen skin tone. Softens expression lines and helps reduce localized fat and cellulite. Recommended for all skin types, including sensitive and blemished skin.
 Green Clay: Has a toning, astringent, stimulating, drying, remineralizing and healing action. It helps to detoxify the skin and control excess oiliness, making the skin more homogeneous and balanced. It regulates sebum production, helping to reduce the appearance of blackheads and pimples. It helps to burn localized fat and reduce cellulite. It is indicated for normal, combination, oily and acne-prone skin.
 Indication of use for the face:
 Use approximately 2 tablespoons of powdered clay to two tablespoons of water.
 Always in the proportion of 1 spoon of clay to 1 spoon of water.
 This is generally the point at which the clay reaches a uniform texture.
 Clays can also be used on other parts of the body.
 Instructions for use:
 In a glass or ceramic jar, mix the powdered clay with mineral/filtered water (or cold chamomile tea) until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
 When the clay mask is ready:
 Apply a generous layer of the mask to your skin.
 Use a wooden spatula, as metal reacts with clay.
 When the mask starts to dry, you can remove it.
 It is not recommended to let the mask dry completely, because if it dries it ends up absorbing water from the skin and thus drying it out.
 It is recommended to leave the mask on for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse and apply a facial moisturizer or nourishing serum.
